The Brief
A close consultation is required to gain a clear understanding of the aspirations for the project. It is an opportunity to view the property, to get a sense of the space and the scope of work. We take the time to understand how the client wishes to use the property, their style, and aspirations. All factors are discussed such as time scale, budget and any administrative requirements. Following this process, we send a proposal to the client outlining our interpretation of the brief, and our associated design fee.
Concept Design
During this initial stage we concentrate on interpreting the brief through concept designs. These designs establish the general look and feel of the project and highlight how key spaces will be used. Initial spatial planning is illustrated and any structural changes that may be required are presented. Our concept designs also consist of imagery of suggested colour schemes, furniture and bespoke items as well as mood board presentations and samples of all proposed finishes. We encourage a collaborative approach at this stage and we invite clients to provide as much feedback as possible to ensure we are heading in the right direction.
Detailed Design
Following approval of the concept designs we then move onto the design development. We present all elements of the final design including bespoke furniture, joinery and drawings along with the proposed finishes, carefully curated artwork and accessories for Client’s approval. We prepare all of the relevant information and liaise with contractors to obtain quotes for the works this is presented as a fully itemised breakdown of costs in line with the agreed budget.
Realisation
The schedule of works will be outlined and approved. Our project coordinators and designers attend regular site meetings to monitor the works progress and ensure our designs are being carried out to their exact specifications. We take pride in being able to fully manage our projects from concept through to completion as well as overseeing the snagging process to the highest possible standard to ensure our Client can enjoy their property with complete peace of mind.
